Masonry Support Systems

Blind fixings

for masonry support systems

Masonry support systems are used to reinforce the external leaf of masonry on wall clad buildings with a bracket angle support.

Masonry support systems are used when a steel or concrete framed structure needs to be finished off with an outer shell of brick, stone cladding or concrete blocks. By utilizing a masonry support system an architect, builder or designer can combine the speed and convenience of a steel or concrete frame with the aesthetic considerations of a masonry finish, achieving the perfect blend of style and efficiency.

The practical form of a masonry support system is a horizontal ledge which bears the load of the masonry wall panels placed above it. Systems of this kind are also sometimes known as Brickwork Support Systems, and allow projects to be completed quickly and to budget whilst still making use of the appearance, durability and low maintenance advantages of a brick or stone exterior.

Masonry Support Fasteners

In most cases a masonry support system will be manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel, and will come as one of 4 main types:

  • Continues angle
  • Welded steel bracket angle
  • Individual bracket angle support
  • Off the shelf systems

No matter which type is used, when it comes to security, stability and longevity, any masonry support system is only going to be as good as the method used to fix it to the frame of the building, and Blind Bolts offer the best method available. The same is true when it comes to the speed and convenience offered by masonry support systems. Using blind bolt fasteners, the system of choice can be installed on any part of the exterior of a building, no matter how difficult it may be to access. This is because the innovative engineering of our blind fixings enables them to be attached without using specialized equipment or drilling oversized holes. As well as speed and convenience they offer security and longevity, and the peace of mind of knowing that the support system you attach will remain secure and stable for as long as it needs to be.
